CAPS Atlantic Graduates 3 in NS
CAPS Atlantic's Nova Scotia group will be certifying our first CAPS sommeliers in a few weeks. Let’s take this opportunity to congratulate Dan Tanner, Gillian Hollebone and Drew Curlett as the first 3 people in Nova Scotia to graduate with this distinction.
We will be hosting a graduation ceremony and gourmet dinner on Monday, August 27th at the Ketch Harbour House to celebrate the occasion. The Ketch Harbour House will be creating a 4 course menu in honor of the event for $55 plus tax and gratuity. The Ketch Harbour House is operated by Kim and Joel Roussell, both formerly of Avalon fame in Toronto. Joel is also Atlantic Canada’s only artisanal charcouterie purveyor. This is a unique opportunity to dine in what we think you will find is an absolutely amazing location, and enjoy a concept that is ahead of its time here in NS.
Valley Wine Tours will be running a free shuttle service on the evening to and from Halifax. If you are interested in attending please bring something special to share - not necessarily pricey, but special to true wine lovers. As most of you know, the sommelier program is extremely demanding with only about a 50% pass rate on the first try which only serves to accentuate the accomplishment of Dan, Drew and Gillian.
